    Sales/Account Manager - Singapore

    Our client is a globally recognised brand within the information services & news domain - with over 1,800 staff and headquarters in the US. The business provides a vast range of essential information, content, services, & technology products to professionals in a variety of different sectors.

    Due to growth - the company is hiring for a new salesperson to join the office in Singapore, selling to Asian markets (both new and existing customers). You will need full working rights/visa for Singapore; and business-level English speaking skills, along with proven experience in B2B sales within the region.

    What you will do:

    • Generate budgeted sales within given territories.
    • Understand product offering sufficiently to enable successful presentations to prospects.
    • Research, identify and contact prospects.
    • Meet activity targets relating to visits, demonstrations, creation of opportunities.
    • Organize and complete a regular schedule of sales trips, usually consisting of one 3-day sales trip every six weeks.

    You need to have:

    • University degree or equivalent experience.
    • At least two years' experience in consultative B2B sales.
    • Proven evidence of ability to sell both by telephone and face-to-face.
    • Demonstrable competence in both transactional and consultative sales techniques.
    • Experience of some of the territories selling into (corporate businesses; law; government; accountancy; financial services etc).

    Desired Skill Sets

    • Proven evidence of sales ability and experience in both telephone and face-to-face sales.
    • Good written and spoken English.
    • Fluency in a second language would be a bonus (but not a prerequisite).
    • Confident telephone manner.
    • Willingness and ability to systematically and methodically prospect and generate own leads.
    • Analytical skills - can assess customer needs and propose solutions.
    • Good presentation skills - able to present to both individuals and large audiences.
    • Well-organised - can be relied upon to manage sales pipeline and follow-up systematically.
    • Good interpersonal skills - able to develop and maintain rapport with prospects and customers.
    • While able to work on their own, also able to work alongside Sales Team colleagues.
    • IT literate, able to use CRM systems such as Salesforce.
    • Knowledge of the legal information market and/or selling information services helpful but not essential.

      One of our Capital Markets FinTech firms, who tackle the derivative markets complexities globally for Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Pension Funds & Insurers, are looking to add sales seniority to their London commercial team.

      You will be covering, but not solely limited to, an EMEA territory working in a relatively small London team of 6 Sales Professionals. You will be reporting directly to the Global Cheif Revenue Officer so there will be lots of internal visibility.

      Initially joining as an senior individual contributor and having an annual target (usually between £750k - £1.2M) the aim for this hire is that the successful candidate can step into more of a Player Coach position and take mentorship over the team of new business sales and relationship management. Plan further on from that would be for the successful candidate to head EMEA Sales.

      To be considered for this position it is vital that you have enterprise software sales experience to the buy-side expertise and be used to navigating around and winning new logos in Asset Management/Fund Mamanagement/Pension Funds/Insurers/Hedge Funds space.

      You will also, ideally, have a very sound understanding capital markets derivatives domain and an appreciation of software in that space that will manage risks and improve operational efficiency.
