Data Migration Analyst - Financial Services Software

Job Description

A Financial Services Software Company is currently seeking a Data Migration Analyst to join their London Team.

This person will be involved in multi-year projects, enabling customers to adopt their Cloud solution from on-prem. This will be a hands-on, data-driven role focused on ensuring smooth transitions from a desktop application to a SaaS product, investigating issues, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Key activities will include data migration coordination, technical investigation using tools like Excel, SQL, and JIRA, database connectivity and continuous improvement

Required Skills

• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with SQL and Excel for data analysis, troubleshooting, and data migration validation.
• Basic Financial Understanding: Ability to interpret financial accounts and recognise key components such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and tax computations.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of identifying and investigating discrepancies when computations differ between systems, using logical reasoning to determine root causes.
• Quick Learner: Ability to grasp new tools, technologies, and processes efficiently.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in handling and validating migrated data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

This is a fully remote position, with very occasional team meet-ups during the year.
