Full-stack Javascript Developer - FinTech

Job Description

Sterlings are currently partnered with a Global Capital Service Platform provider, who are currently seeking a full-stack Javascript Developer, who ideally has experience working within the Fixed Income domain.

The company are striving to still be the key platform derivatives traders use, so this person will design, develop and implement new web applications to keep them ahead of competitors. This will include implementing new product features and GUI's, as well as enhancing and maintaining existing functionality, monitoring solutions and performance characteristics.

Other key parts of the position include participating in design discussions, review sessions and prototyping, as well as helping integrate data between various systems and ensuring the scalability and quality of all code.

Experience Required;

• JavaScript, multi-threaded browser, familiarity with server development and Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud technologies
• Strong OO code design understanding of SOLID design patterns
• Familiarity with agile/iterative development methodologies
• Experience developing on large-scale systems
• Solid debugging and performance-tuning skills
• Experience with modern web frameworks like React.
• Good understanding of both front-end (Javascript, HTML, CSS) and server-side (Node.js or Python) components
• Proven and strong communication skills
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them to technical requirements
