    LANDesk/Ivanti Engineer

    An Investment Bank in the City of London is seeking a LANDesk/Ivanti Engineer to provide 4th line escalation for desktop services, utilising extensive expertise in LANDesk/Ivanti and Microsoft App-V technologies. This person will be responsible for ensuring high availability of desktop services across the company, through systems administration, reviewing installation and upgrades to system software, and root cause analysis of technical issues.

    You will:

    • Act as a 4th line escalation point for desktop services
    • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery of systems
    • Create and manage stable and secure desktop platform across the organisation
    • Be able to identify root cause of complex technical desktop delivery issues through to conclusion
    • Ensure relevant and appropriate technical documentation is established and maintained.
    • Advise on desktop systems development and service delivery for effective use of system software
    • Aid in preparation of software implementation procedures with fall back contingency plans.
    • Investigate potential and actual service problems and recommends solutions by following procedures to plan and test proposed solutions

    You will have:

    • Strong experience with Landesk Management Suite 2016, Ivanti UEM 2019, and Microsoft App-V technologies
    • Experience leading desktop migration projects.
    • Experience in complex desktop / vdi environments with advanced troubleshooting.
    • Ability to coach others to allow the resolution of day to day faults across the organisation
    • Able to make instructions to deliver hardware or software changes, while documenting these actions required.
    • Ability to identify areas where improved management information can protect the delivery of service and works with others to define processes to routinely collect information and records. Reports and escalates unforeseen or exceptional events.
    • Documents all work to comply to the standards, including reporting details of all hardware/software items that have been installed / decommissioned.

    This is a permanent role based in London, operating on a hybrid work setup.

      Sterlings are currently partnered with an Investment Bank who are looking to hire a Senior Application Support Analyst Lead, to join their Front Office Technology Team.

      This person will lead the support team who provide support and maintenance across various desks and multiple asset classes including credit and interest rate derivatives, credit default swaps, currency swaps and interest rate swaps and well as cash equities.

      The team are also responsible for helping improve processes, fixes and enhancements, and Co-ordinate software releases in UAT and Production environments.

      Other duties include updating support documentation and owning the development once released.

      This person will operate as a Player/Coach, bringing to the table a mix of hands-on technical and business knowledge, people leadership, project and communication skills, developing deep knowledge of applications, architecture, up and downstream flows, as well as being a critical esculation point.

      Experience required;

      • Strong Application Support experience within a Financial Trading environment.
      • Solid Supervisory / Management / team leadership experience in technology support of Capital Markets trading and related functions.
      • Solid business knowledge of derivative products (interest rate swaps, credit default swaps, exchange traded futures and options, convertible bonds).
      • Proven technical analysis and investigatory skills with ability to work within a high-pressured environment. Stack includes Ulinx/Linux and SQL Server

      A Bank in the City of London is currently seeking a German speaking, Application Support Analyst to help support multiple applications across Back Office systems.

      The Application support person will be responsible for BAU /Triage, 1st /2nd line support to ensure high availability of supported applications for internal and external customers. The team also manage upgrades / patching to ensure supported software is in place.

      Other tasks involve providing audit and compliance information as requested by stakeholders, as well ensuring SLA's are met and working closely with vendors, building key relationships.

      Experience Required;

      3. Windows / SQL Statement writing
      4. Management of change in a complex environment
